Location of Unit:
The EPA set out guidelines for locating wastewater treatment systems as outlined in the chart below.
These are minimum distances and the unit should be located as far away as possible. It is also important
to take the following points into consideration when locating the unit:
· Allow adequate access for the vacuum tanker when de-sludging
· The unit is only suitable for pedestrian traffic only.
· Design of Percolation area
· The unit should be adequately fenced off to ensure safety for children, and prevent tampering.
